THE BLACKOUT COLLECTION (Stealth Mode)

Matte. Minimal. Made Different.

When we launched the original For All the Goats sliding mitt, it wasn’t just another piece of protection gear. It was a statement, an idea that every player deserved gear built for the dreams they were chasing.

The first brand besides Nike created for the athlete who wants to lock in and chase their dreams without screaming for attention.

That first mitt didn’t just sell.
It sparked something.
It built a community.
And it became the foundation for what Goat’d is today.

For our first drop of the holiday season, we’re recreating that magic with our most requested design ever, the full blackout set.

Matte black. Deep midnight feel. Best-in-class quality and fit.

And now, for the first time ever, we’re taking that same DNA and releasing an entire collection at once, a full blackout lineup designed with the same mindset that started it all:

This is The Blackout Set.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

Designing a true matte-black collection isn’t easy. Anyone can make something black.
But matte black that looks premium, stays clean, and feels elite? That takes work.

Finding the Right Matte Finish

Our first samples were too shiny.
The second ones were too flat — they looked dusty under field lighting.
We tested four different finishes before finding the perfect one:
a deep, non-reflective matte that holds its tone whether you’re under stadium lights or backyard cage lights.

Dialing in Texture

Different gear reacts differently to matte coatings.
The mitt needed a slight grain pattern for grip.
The guards needed a smoother exterior without feeling plastic.
We refined each texture independently so the set felt unified — but each piece performed exactly how it should.

Black-on-Black Stitching

Black thread on black material sounds easy.
It’s not.
We adjusted thread thickness, spacing, and tension so seams stayed clean, visible, and premium, without breaking the blackout effect.

Shape & Fit Updates

While honoring the original For All the Goats pattern, we made detailed improvements:

  • a tighter ergonomic curve in the sliding mitt

  • rebalanced padding in the elbow guard

  • lighter flex points in the leg guard

  • improved wrist taper for comfort and speed

Nothing loud.
Just better.
Just more locked-in.

Stealth Branding

The Goat’d mark appears only when the light hits it right.
Matte black on matte black, subtle, confident, and meant for athletes who let their play speak.

Because when you’re chasing something real, you don’t need to yell.
You just need gear built to match your mindset.
